This has nothing to do with skin care. Why yes. Yes it does. The healthiness of your skin depends on not only what you put on it, but what you put in your body. Biotin is a vitamin that will help your skin look, feel, and most importantly BE healthy! Make sure to check on the other additions to my skincare secrets series!
What Is It?
There’s a lot of scientific fancy talk about Biotin, but what you need to know is that it’s a B vitamin that your body naturally produces.
What does it do?
It’s all about metabolism. It is necessary for the cells in the body to grow. Pretty important stuff.
It can do numerous things and among these is making your skin look healthy and calms dry and irritated skin.
How do I get it?
-I take a biotin vitamin everyday (ok mostly everyday. No one is perfect)
-A lot of facial creams contain it
-Food! An ecuse to eat? Im in. (These examples are only a few)
Peanuts and peanut butter
Here are some ways to cook up these foods into your diet!
Breakfast: Eggs, duh!
Snacks: Straight up peanuts and almonds!
Lunch: Chicken and avocado sandwhich on whole grain bread
Dessert: Peanut Butter on ritz crackers (add banana for an even healthier snack!)
There are lots of other effects Biotin has on the body, but since this post is about skincare, that was my focus. Remember everything is good in moderation. I am no doctor and before taking drastic life changes, consult a PhD.
